LearnNavi.org was treated to a sneak preview of the show that Cirque du Soleil has created in partnership with LightStorm Entertainment, Toruk – The First Flight. A snippet of the show was performed for a press event in Bossier City, LA on October 28th.  In true Cirque fashion, the imagery, light, color and skill of the live performers combine to create a truly immersive experience. A new concept of audience participation is also being tested for this show: By downloading a companion application to their smart phones, the audience becomes a dynamic part of creating the world of Pandora in the show.

  A lot of work has gone into this performance which, we are told, was conceived even before Avatar was first released back in 2009. Flowing from the creative minds of Michel Lemieux and Victor Pilon (among many others), Cirque has managed to recreate a part of Pandora with puppets, kites, acrobats, dancers and storytelling.
